Minimum Profile Requirements
You must meet these requirements before you can pitch venues.
An incomplete profile is treated as an unserious act by bookers. Venues receive dozens of pitches — yours will be skipped if the basics are missing.
Display Name
Your public artist identity. Venues search and filter by name — missing this makes you invisible.
Bio
The primary deciding factor for most bookers. Be specific about your style, experience, and what makes you worth booking.
At least one Genre
Venues filter talent by genre to match their audience. No genre = excluded from filtered search.
Profile Photo
A clear, professional photo. Pitches without a photo are routinely ignored. First impressions matter.
At least one Media or Social Link
An audio clip, live video, or social profile. Venues want to hear you before they respond — no media means no reply.
Your Artist Profile & EPK
Your public profile at getngigs.com/a/your-slug is your Electronic Press Kit (EPK) — a single shareable link venues can open to evaluate your act. Keep it updated and complete.
Identity & Positioning
- Display Name
- Your public artist or band name, exactly as you want venues to find you. Changing this also updates your public URL slug.
- Tagline
- A single sentence that captures your sound or vibe. This appears on directory cards and search results next to your name — make it specific, not generic.
- Bio
- The most important field after your photo. Tell venues what makes your act unique: your style, your draw, your experience, your story. Be specific. Generic bios get skipped.
- Project Names
- If you perform under multiple names (e.g. Solo, Full Band, Acoustic Duo), list each project here with its own avatar image. Gig Board and Tour Board listings can carry your project-specific avatar.
- Home City / State / ZIP
- Your base location. Used for radius-based gig matching on the Gig Board and to surface your profile to nearby venues.
- Travel Radius (miles)
- How far you are willing to travel for a gig. Venues outside this radius won't be surfaced in your matched opportunities.
Genres
Choose all genres that describe your act. Venues and the Gig Board use genre filters — missing genres means missing opportunities. You can also type a custom genre in the "Other" field.
Formats & Performance
- Formats
- Solo, Duo, Trio, Full Band, DJ, etc. Select all formats you offer so venues can book the right configuration for their room.
- Min / Max Capacity
- The audience sizes your act is suited for. A solo acoustic act at a stadium is a poor fit — help venues self-select.
- Set Length (minutes)
- How long you can perform continuously. Many venues require 45–90 min sets. Include this so there are no surprises.
- Breaks Included
- Toggle on if your quoted set length includes a break.
Booking & Contact
- Booking Email
- Where venue inquiries and pitch replies are sent. This can differ from your account login email — use a dedicated booking address if you have one.
- Booking Phone
- Optional. Used for direct outreach by venues who prefer a call.
- Preferred Contact Method
- Email, Phone, or Text — your preferred way for venues to reach you.
Links & Social
At minimum, add your Instagram and one audio or video link. Venues expect artists to have an online presence. Empty social fields signal an inactive act.
Media
- Profile Image
- Upload a JPEG, PNG, or WebP file (max 2 MB) or paste a direct image URL. This is the photo venues see first on every pitch and in the directory. Use a professional, high-contrast photo.
- Gallery Images (one URL per line)
- Upload additional live performance photos. Venues look at these to visualize you on their stage. 3–6 strong live photos are ideal.
- Live Video URLs (one per line)
- YouTube or Vimeo links to your best live performances. A 3–5 minute live clip is the single most persuasive piece of media you can provide.
- Audio Sample URLs (one per line)
- SoundCloud, Spotify, or Bandcamp links. Many bookers listen before deciding to read the rest of your pitch.
Digital Card (QR, vCard, iPhone)
Your dashboard includes a shareable digital card with a QR code linked to your public profile. Use this at gigs, festivals, and networking events to give venues an instant way to pull up your full EPK.
- QR Code
- Download and print your QR code or display it on a phone. Scanning takes venues directly to your artist profile.
- vCard Download
- A .vcf contact file venues can save to their phone with your name, email, phone, and website pre-filled.
- iPhone Wallet Pass
- Add your contact card to Apple Wallet for easy sharing at gigs. Tap and share from your lock screen.
Gig Board
The Gig Board at /gig-board is a public search page where venues post open booking requests. Artists can browse and respond to posts that match their location and style.
- Searching
- Filter by ZIP code and radius to find gigs near you. No account needed to browse.
- Responding to a post
- Requires a signed-in account with a completed profile. Free users get limited responses per month; Pro users have unlimited access.
- Gig post expiration
- All posts expire after 14 days. Expired posts are automatically hidden from the board.
Session Board
The Session Board is for open session player requests — producers, bands, and venues looking for specific instrumentalists or vocalists for a session or show.
- Browsing
- Anyone can browse the Session Board without signing in.
- Responding
- Requires a Pro account. Each post specifies the instrument, location, budget, and expiration date.
- Posting a request
- Any authenticated user can post a session request. Posts expire based on the expiration date you set.
QuickPitch & Outreach Pipeline
QuickPitch lets you send a pre-formatted booking inquiry to a venue in seconds. Your pitch is seeded with your artist info so you don't have to type the same introduction every time. The Outreach Pipeline tracks the status of every pitch you send.
- How to pitch a venue
- Open any venue profile and click the Pitch button. Your bio and media links are pre-filled — customize the message and send. Venues receive your pitch in their inbox.
- Pitch limits (free plan)
- Free accounts are limited to 3 pitches per month across all pitch types (venue pitches, Gig Board responses, Session Board responses). The limit resets monthly.
- Unlimited pitches (Pro)
- Pro subscribers have no pitch limits and no monthly reset. Pitch as many venues as you want.
- Outreach Pipeline
- View all your sent pitches in your dashboard under Outreach. Each pitch is tracked with status (sent, replied, booked, passed) so you always know where things stand.
- Responding to venue pitches
- Venues can also pitch you. When they do, you will receive a message in your Inbox. You can reply, accept, or pass from there.
Tour Tracker
The Tour Tracker on your dashboard helps you plan, budget, and manage multi-city tours in one place. Each tour has stops, a budget, and a projected profit & loss view.
- Creating a tour
- Click Create Tour on your dashboard. Give it a name and start adding stops — each stop has a city, date, venue, status, and per-stop income estimate.
- Stop statuses
- EXPLORING → PENDING → CONFIRMED → CANCELLED. Update statuses inline as your tour comes together.
- Budget tab
- Set fixed costs (van rental, lodging, merch) and per-stop variables. The budget auto-saves with a short delay as you type.
- P&L tab
- A projected profit & loss across all confirmed stops. Use the Log to Earnings button to record actual income to your earnings tracker.
- Tour Board
- Confirmed stops can be synced to the public Tour Board so venues in each city can see you are coming through and reach out.
Rolling Gig Calendar
Your public artist profile includes a live Upcoming Shows section powered by the Gig Calendar. Venues can see your current availability and booked dates before they reach out.
- Adding an entry
- From your dashboard or public profile (if you are the owner), click Add Show. Set a date, status (OPEN or BOOKED), genre, capacity, deal type, and notes.
- OPEN vs BOOKED
- OPEN means you are available that date and looking for a booking. BOOKED means the date is filled. Venues use OPEN dates to pitch you for their own events.
- Sync to boards
- OPEN entries can be synced to the Gig Board or Tour Board with one click so venues searching those boards can find your available dates.
Pro Membership
The free plan lets you set up your profile and send a few pitches to test the waters. Pro removes all limits and unlocks the tools working artists actually need.

No monthly pitch cap — pitch every venue that fits. Gig Board and Session Board responses included.
Full Tech Pack
Upload your stage plot, tech rider, input list, and press kit. These files appear on your EPK and in every pitch.
Pricing & Rates
Set base rates (solo, duo, full band), a minimum guarantee, and pricing visibility. Shows on your public profile.
Venue Contact Unlock

Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I pitch venues yet?
Your profile must meet the minimum requirements before pitching is enabled: display name, bio, at least one genre, a profile photo, and at least one media or social link. Check the Profile Requirements section above for the full list.
Why am I not appearing in venue search results?
You need at least one genre selected and a Home ZIP code filled in to appear in location-based searches. Pro profiles also rank higher in results.
What does Pro include, exactly?
Unlimited pitching (venues, Gig Board, Session Board, Private Events), tech pack uploads (stage plot, tech rider, input list, press kit), visible pricing/rates, venue contact unlock, and priority visibility in search. See the Pro section above for the full breakdown.
How do I cancel Pro?
Go to your dashboard and click Subscription in the left menu. You will see a Cancel Plan button. Cancellation stops renewal at the end of your billing period — you keep Pro access until then.
How do venues find me?
Venues browse the artist directory and filter by genre, location, and format. They also see pitches you send them and can discover you through the Gig Board if you respond to their posts. Keep your profile complete and your photo professional.
What is a slug and can I change it?
Your slug is the URL path for your public profile (e.g. /a/the-wavelengths). It is auto-generated from your display name. To change it, update your Display Name and save — the slug updates automatically.
My pitch was sent — now what?
The venue receives your message in their getNgigs inbox. You can track all sent pitches in your Outreach Pipeline on the dashboard. Typical response times vary — follow up after 5–7 business days if you haven't heard back.
Can I perform under multiple names?
Yes. Use the Project Names fields to add up to 2 project names, each with its own avatar image. When posting to the Gig Board or Tour Board, you can choose which project to list under.
