A working apple orchard and craft distillery in Whatcom County, about seven miles from Bellingham. Home of Farmtunes, the free Friday-night summer concert series that runs eight weeks every July through September. Views of Mt. Baker, a tire garden for the kids, farm-made spirits, and food from the Ten Mile Cafe. For artists: Bellewood books bluegrass, folk, Americana, country, jazz, Celtic, and singer-songwriter acts. This is not a bar room. Bring an acoustic-forward set, songs that hold a family audience for three hours, and material that fits a picnic-blanket crowd. Farmtunes draws artists from across the Pacific Northwest and Canada. Free to the public means the farm books the bill, so a clean EPK and a demo that shows range matter here. All ages. For the community: Farmtunes is a Whatcom County tradition. Families spread out on the lawn while kids run the tire garden, adults sample farm-made spirits or grab a burger from the cafe, and the sun sets behind Mt. Baker. Weddings, corporate events, and private parties fill the calendar the rest of the year. Bellewood is one of the few venues in the county that turns an orchard into a stage and treats every Friday like a neighborhood block party.
