Spats

Spats is one of Downtown Berkeley's most versatile and reliably entertaining neighborhood bars, a two-blocks-from-BART institution that has been running live music, DJ nights, and community events since 2015. The space is larger and more layered than it looks from the outside, with two sides of bar and table seating, a semi-private dining room that seats up to 40, a game room with pool tables and pinball, and a stage-equipped Jungle Room with its own private bar and dance floor that holds up to 50 people. Heated and covered outdoor seating rounds out a setup that can flex to fit everything from a casual Tuesday happy hour to a full weekend concert. The bar program is strong, with craft beers, a wide range of cocktails, and a bourbon selection that draws regulars back on weeknights.
