The Fourth Bore

The Fourth Bore is the anchor of Orinda's Theatre Square and one of the most enjoyable live music destinations in Lamorinda, a chill industrial-edged taproom and grill that manages to be simultaneously a great craft beer bar, a solid family-friendly restaurant, a sports viewing destination, and a reliable outdoor live music venue all at once. Situated in the heart of downtown Orinda just a short walk from the BART station, the venue features a gorgeous heated, covered outdoor patio that serves as the primary live music stage, where bands perform Thursday through Sunday evenings starting at 6:30pm from March through November. The beer program is a genuine draw with 28 craft beers on tap including local favorites, and the full bar offers cocktails alongside the taps. The food menu runs the comfortable range of burgers, sandwiches, steak mac and cheese, wood-fired pizzas from The Forge fire truck, fish tacos, ribs, cheese curds, and flatbreads. Past performers have included Rocky Michaels, Adrian West Band, John Rybak and Friends, Mariah Counts, and The Ripplers, giving a sense of the acoustic and singer-songwriter to light rock programming that fits the outdoor patio format best. The staff is well-known for going above and beyond, including clearing space and coordinating with bands for flash mobs and special events. The venue also caters through The Forge Pizza Fire Truck, a 1970 Ford fire truck with a full char broiler and wood-fired pizza oven that can be booked for outside events.
