The Radio Room

The Radio Room is a 75-seat all-ages live music venue inside KAFM Community Radio in Grand Junction, the only local community radio station in the Grand Valley. The room hosts at least 12 concerts per year, and each performance is broadcast in full or in part on KAFM at 88.1 FM and streamed at kafmradio.org. Shows are also recorded in Studio D, the station's digital recording studio, and video recordings have recently been added to the workflow. An annual compilation CD called Live at the Radio Room collects highlights from the year. For guests, it is a genuinely rare listening-plus-broadcast experience; for artists, the room offers a broadcast-quality performance and recording capture in a single evening.
