Velvet Banjo

Velvet Banjo is Denver's home for newgrass, a 21-plus room on East Colfax where a pint, a pool game, and a set of live music are considered the standard evening. The 130-person space hosts music on Thursday and Saturday nights, with occasional Sunday additions reserved for solo performers. The programming spans Americana, bluegrass, blues, country, folk rock, jam band, psychedelic, and rock, giving the calendar consistent variety within a string-band-and-roots umbrella.
